Chaverdi’s inspiration

This is the vieuw from Chaverdi’s window. It is the lake of Banyoles, imposing, sleepy and romantic air, as all lakes have. At the same time it is a symbol of live. Here children play, people swim, you walk around it and there are competitions as the World Canoeing Championship that will be held in 2010.

I like lakes. The sea always takes the flatteries, but a lake keeps an special authenticity. Not long ago they published a list of the nicest lakes in the world. Among them were the Plitvice in Croacia, the Crater Lake, the Dead Sea, the Caspian Sea, Lake Titicaca and Lake Atitlan. That’s my favorite. It is located in Guatemala, surrounded by volcanoes and seems to be beyond time and space. In Atitlan, whose water is blue as the Caribe and charges positive energy, there are many little towns and small ecologic hotels, as the Lomas de Tzunumá, with huge wooden balconies hanging above the lake. To lean out and see the daybreak is an experience of absolute luxury.

Nature, together with Art and Culture are the inspiring sources of our designers; somehow this lake is behind Chaverdi’s jewelry and fashion jewelry. It is nice to shift the sight from the computer and the papers and take a look through the window. This way the color of water, the sky and the plants becomes very present. Afterwards we go back to our limited editions, our necklaces, bracelets, rings and earrings and we feel that there is a bridge between what we do and what we see from our room with a view.

Chaverdi fashion jewelry: the beginning of a beautiful story

Day 1 of Chaverdi’s blog. If this would be a personal diary, we would start with “Dear diary: today a new adventure starts: we are going to sell our necklaces, earrings, rings and bracelets in our fashion jewelry online shop”.

But we do not want to write a diary, but a blog. It may not sound so romantic, but that’s what it is. It is not related to fashion, it is something much deeper. A diary is something secret, something that it is kept out of sight and people do not talk about, and we want just the opposite. We want to get out and above all we want to talk.

That is why we are writing this blog. We want women, who love jewelry and fashion jewelry, to tell us about their ideas, opinions,… For instance, which is their favorite ring; which necklace to wear for an special occasion; what design to choose as a gift; which earrings to wear on that wedding, where do we find the stones for our rings; which design and art schools have our designers attended; what movie makes one of our bracelets make you think of, etc.

We will write every week and every week we will wait for you. We are also going to include a “Pick of the week”, we will select one of our pieces of jewelry or a special fashion jewelry design and we will talk about it. If it is made out of silver, if it has natural stones, or mother of pearl. We will talk about the designer’s inspiration, but above all we hope you will do it. It will be like a chat between friends. The only thing that will be missing, will be the cup of tea or the cocktail of the two women seen in the picture.
