Silver earrings designed by Nadia Rabosio exclusively for Chaverdi
This month of November we want to offer a jewel as a present. Because we want to and because we feel like doing this. And we have not chosen not just any piece, but a designer jewel.
These silver earrings with a lava seed are part of the Hojas collection from Nadia Rabosio. The complete collection, necklace, bracelet and several different designs of earrings is authentic jewelry. They are made with silver 925 and with Italian lava stone. We like the metallic touch of silver combined with the strange texture of the lava. It is not by coincidence that Nadia Rabosio is from Italy… If you pay attention you will see her fingerprints on the silver parts.
The Hojas collection gathers all the essence that Chaverdi is: contemporary craftsmanship, care for details, design and connection with Nature. The Hojas collection is one of our star collections. On top of this, as all our designs, it is a limited edition. It is part of our philosophy: take as much care for a necklace as for the woman who wears it.

Have you seen Stromboli (Rossellini, 1950)? In this Italian film, Ingrid Bergman is a northern woman who, escaping from a complicated life, moves to an island dominated by a volcano. In Stromboli, the volcano is as much a protagonist as the Swedish actress. And you will say: why is she talking about this? Well, because we don’t want to be less than Rossellini (even though this is an unforgivable audacity) and we want to put a volcano (nice and quiet of course) in our lives.
How do we do it? Through its lava, a natural phenomena that inspires beauty as well as respect. The designer Nadia Rabosio has recuperated the Italian lava, black, very much black, porous and with an unusual fell and she has designed a jewelry collection called “Hojas”. Now you can buy earrings, necklaces and bracelets where the volcanic lava is mixed with silver. Craftsmanship is behind this jewelry and you can even see the designer’s fingerprints on the silver.
Because we are proud to have been able to capture a piece of nature, we want to share it with you. Chaverdi is located in Banyoles (Spain). Everybody knows that Banyoles is nearby Figueres and Cadaqués. Everybody knows that those places are Dalí’s. Everybody knows that Dalí is one of the outstanding surrealist authors. And that Surrealism is one of the great movements of the 20th century. So far, everything is clear.
What not everybody knows is that in our way we wanted to pay a little tribute to Surrealism in a year where marvelous exhibitions are held to honor the creativity of this movement. For example, Pompidou in Paris exhibits up to January the 12th “The Subversion of the Images”, a review of pictures and surrealistic cinema. The MoMA in New York shows this movement with an erotic touch. The exposition is called “The Erotic Object” and you can visit it up to January the 4th.
And the theme of objects is of course very interesting to us. We aimed at designing a piece of fashion jewelry that is fun, that is a surprise, as if it would be a really weir, almost a surreal object. It is all about a double ring. It is an exclusive design, part of a limited edition, as everything we do.
Who said that one ring can only be for one finger?
